Hey Guys great news. Notch has confirmed that Beta 1.6 patch is in motion the patch so far confirmed the following:
Up Coming Changes
Map Item, Auto Mapping, Mini Map, and possible fog of war
Bug Fixes
There are also other Unconfirmed but mentioned by Notch. Below

Modding API
Piston Mod would be delayed untill the next patch or so.
